Exporting a session to OMF and XML

- [Instructor] If you need to share your files with other editors or audio engineers who don't use audition; the two most common formats you can use are OMF and XML. To create ither of these, just go up to your File menu, Down to Export, and I might start with OMF. So, OMF stands for Open Media Framework and it's a format that been around for quite a while. At the very top of this dialogue box we can choose the file name and the location where we want to save the OMF to. I just make sure this is saving to the working folder in my exercise files. We can change the sample type if we want, but it's probably best to keep these the same as our session. And we also have these OMF settings and this is where the important decisions are made. And if someone has requested an OMF from you, it's probably best to find out what they prefer here. For our media we can choose ither encapsulated or referenced.
