Essential Sound adjustments for dialogue
- [Narrator] Let's look at mixing dialogue with the Essential Sound panel. I guess the first obvious question is, what do we mean by dialogue? Well, basically, this refers to anything that is spoken word. So regardless of whether it's an interview recorded on location, or a voice over recorded in a sound booth, we use the same techniques for mixing these elements. And you'll find that this part of the mix is the most intensive and requires the most work. So I've already assigned all of these clips as dialogue. And I can tell that they're dialogue clips because if I extend the height of my track here, and I'll just zoom in on one of these clips, you can see we have this speech bubble icon on the clip. You might also notice, if I zoom out full, so I can see my entire session, I've actually broken up my one dialogue track into one track for each person speaking. And this will make it easier to visually select all the interviews of each person. You could also do this with clip groups, if…
