Essential Sound adjustments for SFX
- [Instructor] When we talk about working with sound effects in the Essential Sound panel, we mean anything from natural sound that matches actions on screen, to more abstract sounds like whooshes, swishes, and impacts. Now, when working with dialogue in music, I usually adjust all of these clips at once, but with sound effects, I much prefer to work on them individually. The sound effect that I want to work on in this exercise file, is this helicopter sound effect down here, and I can quickly move my playhead to this point by double clicking the marker that I've placed here. And then I'll just press the Plus key to zoom in on this. And if I go to the track where this clip is added, and I'll just select it and extend it down, I can see that I've already assigned this as a sound effect because it has this explosion icon at the bottom of it. I'll just select this clip to open up its options in the Essential Sound panel. And as with dialogue and music, we have some familiar controls…
