Ducking music with Essential Sound
- [Instructor] The ducking controls in the essential sound panel allow us to automatically turn down the volume of music so we can hear other audio types better, most commonly dialogue. So I have some music here in my session and above it, I have some interviews that I've already worked on in the dialogue section of the essential sound panel. And, if I move my playhead to this point, you'll be able to hear that the music is really overwhelming the interviews. (upbeat orchestral music) - We need to re-look at the way we hire veterans. We need to bring more veterans into our leadership positions. - [Instructor] So what I'm going to do is make sure I have my music track selected that I've already tagged as a music clip in the essential sound panel, and I can tell that because I have this little music note down here. And then I'm going to go over to my essential sound panel and check ducking. As soon as I do that, it analyzes my session and then it adds this pink dotted line to my music…
