A new folk/country strum and I–V–vi–IV
- All right, another split strum idea is where you play the bass note, and it can be either just the bass note or the bass zone. It could be a few of the bass strings, and then you play a rhythm on the treble strings. Let's check out this next example that does that. One, two, three, four. (guitar music) - All right, one of the most important chord progressions to know in music is 1564. All right, that means that you're playing the first chord, let's say in the key of G, which would be G Major, the five chord in that key is D Major, the sixth chord is E Minor, and the four chord is C Major. That 1564 chord progression is used so often in hit songs. Let's check out this now in the song, Rolling Wheels on Route 1564. Here we go. One, two, three, four. (guitar music)
