- [Announcer] So let's say you've booked your first demo session, and you're really excited, and all of a sudden, you look up and you realize, I have no idea what I'm supposed to be bringing to the demo session. Well, here are a couple of things to keep in mind. First and foremost, bring lyric sheets, not only for the singer, and for the engineer to follow along, but for yourself. It is extremely useful to have a lyric sheet in front of you during a session so that you'll be able to take notes, and make sure that you're getting exactly what you want, not only from the musicians, but from the studio vocalist as well. Make sure that that lyric sheet is also properly formatted, and what this means, very, very simply, is that you indent your choruses. Other than that, keep the lyric sheet super simple. Beyond lyric sheets, you'll want to bring in a chord chart, but let me preface this by saying, only if that is easy for you. If the thought of writing up a chord chart on your own song…
