WMD MultiMode Envelope + Expander: Overview

WMD MultiMode Envelope + Expander: Overview

(electronic music) - [Narrator] Many envelope modules are just variations on the standard attack decay or attack release envelope. Or perhaps the attack decay sustain release model. However, some envelopes go much further. And a perfect example of that is the WMD multi mode envelope. We're going to be looking at just the base unit as well as this optional expander. The base unit is 8 HP wide, the expander adds another 6 HP. They're both only 25 millimeter deep, which is very shallow. The base unit draws 49 milliamps on the plus 12 and 27 milliamps on the minus 12. The expander adds another 55 milliamps on the plus 12 and just 11 milliamps on the minus 12. We're going to take the gate output again multed off of our midi to CV converter. And run that to the gate and trigger input. And the WMD offers three different outputs. Zero to 8 volts, which is a very wide range, unipore output, which is good for envelopes amplifiers, et cetera. But it also offers a plus or minus 8 volt output…
