(electronic tune) - [Instructor] In addition to frequency modulation, complex oscillators such as the Verbos often support AM or amplitude modulation. Just to simplify things, I took out all the patch cords where I had the Moog, FM-ing the complex oscillator. Got back to just keyboard, control voltages, we have both oscillators on the Verbos, both waveforms from the Verbos coming up to the data, and its final master output coming through the data, back into the Moog Mother-32, and then to the final output. Amplitude modulation does what it says. One oscillator dynamically changes the amplitude of another oscillator. I'm going to tune this down to something very simple like a sine wave. Let's go ahead and just turn the VCA mode on here, leave it droning. Now remove the wave folding with the harmonics to high, you get more of a sine wave type wave shape. Now if you look at the spectrograph, you see we have very few harmonics in this slightly distorted sine wave. Interesting thing about…
