- [Instructor] So what are the things that I run into a lot when I'm either mixing, or working with other producers, or just hearing stuff at the club, or on the radio, or wherever you happen to be, at the gym perhaps. is that drum sounds, if not tuned properly, don't tend to sit very will together. I get a lot of questions from people about making drum sounds work correctly. Whether it's the high hat and the snare, or the kick and the sub, or things of that nature. And one of things that you want to think about is the tuning. There are a few different rules of thumb that you can use, but mostly, you just have to use your ears. So we'll start out, I have sort of a simple Latin style, urban sort of club loop happening here that I made in Battery. (club loop) Okay. That's working pretty well. Now, I'm just going to give you a little peek at the lead here that we're going to use for part of this tune. And you always want to check things in terms of pitch against any harmonic elements…
