Travis picking and pinch patterns

- All right, now let's go over Travis Picking and Pinch Patterns. Travis Picking is a very popular finger picking style, and it really was started by Merle Travis, but it's also been used by Leo Kottke, Tommy Emanuel, Chet Atkins, and many others. So basically it's a repetitive pattern. Some of the notes are played together, and that brings me to the next thing which is pinch patterns. So instead of just playing each note independently, sometimes the fingers pick together. Also let's check out this New G Chord Fingering. If you don't necessarily have to have all these additional notes, sometimes with finger picking you're only picking two strings at a time, so you don't actually have to finger the full chord. And this fingering you can just use your ring finger and pinky like this.
