- Now I'd like to talk about taming harsher elements in your mix, because there are a lot of ways to go about this, and the difference between what I'm talking about here and what we did in the last video is that we were trying to make things sit in the mix before, like these were elements with those sense for example, these were elements that sounded good on their own, but we wanted to make them sound nice together. Now this vocal is well sung, it sounds nice, but the thing about it is that there are just some harsher things that's not quite sitting in the mix very well. I've got a little compression on it and I haven't done anything with the EQ yet. I just wanted to get a little bit more level with the compression for the sake of this demonstration.
