Sputnik WCRS: Quantized and stored random

(low-frequency electronic music) - [Instructor] So, we have these random sources that are fluctuating and moving very smoothly. The next two sections below actually move in quantized steps. Let's look at those next. Now plug into one of our outputs of our quantized random voltage and turn down the selector. These two sections need a pulse to change their states. It's a step ahead. So, temporarily, I'm going to borrow a clock pulse from my LFO over here. Start stepping this long. And now you see we're getting some different levels being output by this random source. This dial has two different meanings, depending on which output you're connected to. It uses two different math functions. In the left control, it says, Take that dial's number, add 1 to it, and that's how many different levels they will reach. And here we see it's fluctuating between two levels. I'll go ahead and use my voltage bias to get it back down to that zero line there. If I was to turn this up to around where 2 is,…
