- Well we did a few riffs that I told you to repeat, so there is actually a way to notate that. The symbol for repeating is called the repeat sign, and you'll notice it looks like a bracketed line with two dots on it. And that tells you to go back to either the beginning, or if there is a repeat start sign. So often, that will bookend a section if they want you to repeat over and over. So instead of me just telling you to repeat something, just by looking at the music, there's a symbol for that. All right, let's move onto the next one, which is in the style of The Kingsmen hit, Louie Louie. So this is in a faster tempo. You'll definitely here that the phil comes in to set you up to play for the first note, but also keep in mind that the quarter notes are much quicker, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, so just try to stay in time and listen for the phil, here we go.
