- [Instructor] You like money, right? Well, you need to set the table properly so you can eat well. Otherwise, you'll go hungry. By that, I simply mean you need to set up your songs, register them properly with your affiliated performing rights organization, ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, et cetera, before you submit to music supervisors and executives, or you won't see the backend royalties, money, from when you finally do get a placement. Instead, the money simply won't come because they'll have no record that your song even exists, and that, my friend, is a bummer. In addition, I urge you to research Sound Exchange and Harry Fox Agency. Register your songs here so you receive income for your song recordings.
