RS Wave Multiplers: Full wave rectifiers (even harmonics)
(digital tones) - [Narrator] Now whereas a wave folder often adds odd harmonics to a sound, the bottom section of the surge wave multiplier adds even harmonics to a sound. It actually is a special implementation of a full-wave rectifier. Let's go ahead and move our inputs down here. This section has two different outputs. One is a bit more mellow, one is a lot more harsh. Going to leave our voltage control off for now, and just manually change the sound. (digital pitch goes up and down) Very different sound than the wave folder. A bit more mellow, and maybe a bit more natural than overblown type of sound. (digital pitch) You could envelope it if you wanted to. (digital tone repeats) But it also works well if you treat it kind of like a pulse with modulation. Feed it an LFO, and carefully dial in the amount there. (digital pitch goes up and down) And we can mix that in with the moog square wave, with pulse with modulation as well. Just get a really fat sound. (strong digital tone) And…
