Quarter-note slash
From the course: Rock Guitar Lessons: Teach Yourself to Play
Quarter-note slash
- Now chords can be notated in a bunch of different ways. You can see all the notes stacked up on top of each other, you know, with the note heads and the stems and all that kind of stuff, or a lot of times, you'll just see what we call slash chords where it will say the chord title above it and then it will just have a stem and then a slash for a note head, so entirely different. They don't need to draw every single note but just a slash rhythm, okay. So we'll learn a bunch of different slash rhythms for the next example, which is called E minor strumming exercise. You just hold down E minor chord and strum this rhythm. So let's check that one out. (metronome) One, two, ready, go. (guitar strumming)
