Patching in a different filter

(zapping synth tones) - [Instructor] Your starting synth for your semi-modular synth probably came with it's own filter. In the case of this Moog Mother-32, it has the nice classic Moog four pole ladder filter, (gentle synth piano) lovely sound. However, you might want to expand the sonic palette of your instrument by trying out different filters. And in this chapter, we're going to look at three very different filter designs, just to give you an idea of what's available. Now, when you want to patch another filter into your semi-modular or into your small system, there's a few things you need to take into account. For one, I am taking advantage of the mixer built into my semi-modular synth, the Moog Mother-32, to combine it's oscillator with an external oscillator. However, I have no way of getting that mix out through the patch panel, and many filters, if not most, only have a single input. They do not have multiple inputs to mix together themselves.
