- Alright, so now let's check out notes above High C and here we're getting into almost like fourth position. We're going to play C# and D. That's C#, sixth fret. And then D is here at the seventh fret of the G string. So let's practice those new notes in this next exercise. This is exercise with High C# and D. Here we go. (bass music) Alright, for exercise with D ♭. That C# can be spelled as a D ♭. So, this brings up a concept that you will hear of over and over. It's called an inharmonic spelling. The fifth fret is C. The seventh fret is D and that note between those can be either called C# or D ♭. They're exactly the same thing but in this case we're going to call it D ♭. Here we go.
