- All right, so we're gonna learn the notes in open position for different strings. Let's start with the first string, E. So of course, you have the E note and that is here, (guitar strums) then the first fret of that string is F here, (guitar strums) and the third fret is G here. (guitar strums) This next example just goes between those three notes, E, F, and G, so you can get used to just following along and seeing those and eventually it will just be extremely easy.
You'll recognize them just on instant sight. Let's try this, here we go. One, two, three, four. (guitar strums)
