- Here's solo Number Three. (funky music) One, two, three, four. (funky music) This solo as we break it down, features bass note runs which I think is a trademark of Stevie Ray Vaughan and it makes it really characteristic of his playing. So, we're going to start of with double stops, on strings three and two, fourth fret, and third fret, respectively. (strumming) I'm going to play them as fast triplets, using all down strokes, (strumming) and I do that three times, and then I slide on the third string down to the second fret, then open three, then four at the second fret, three, four. (strumming) You also might want to try sliding into that double-stop from a half-step below. Three, four. (strumming) And then we're going to start our bass note runs. Okay, chromatically from string four up to the second fret, twice, and chromatically from the fifth string, open up to the second fret, and then, I'm going to go, quick hammer on and pull off from the open string five, the open string…
