IME Kermit: Lo-Fi VCO

IME Kermit: Lo-Fi VCO

(staticky synth tone) - [Instructor] Finally, Kermit can be used as an audible VCO, although again, it has that industrial music electronic aesthetic, but being a bit dirty and grungy, some people say it's their favorite VCO because of that. I'm going to go ahead and just take the LFO out of the circuit for now, 'cause I don't need that extreme modulation, so I'm going to unplug that for now. I'm going to change my preset on data to get back into the audio range, preset one will work fine, thank you, load, oscilloscope, and let's read very carefully what this input says. It's either the tap tempo, or it's a one volt per octave zero to eight volts, it only responds to positive voltages. On the other hand, remember that our Mother 32 is set up so that zero volts is middle C, and it goes below and above that, so we're definitely going to need to bring in a precision adder to add some voltage to make these two line up in pitch. So I'm going to go ahead and grab another copy of my keyboard…
