- Alright. Getting started with improvisation. So, we're gonna play in the key of A. And, we'll start working on improvisation. But, I just want to establish the chords that you're gonna improvise over. So, we're gonna to play the one, two and five chords in the key which is; A as the one, and then one, two, three, four to D, and then the five is E. So, the progression sounds like this. One two three four. Now, for launching the playing sequence. So, we've learned a major scale. But now, we're gonna just practice going through that scale, and becoming more familiar with the different ways of moving through that scale by doing what we call sequence. So, you can basically take a pattern that repeats itself over and over off of various degrees with the scale. For instance, this one just goes like if you numbered all the notes of the scale. This goes one, two, three, four, two, three, four, five, three, four, five six, four, five, six, seven, et cetera, et cetera; just going on up four…
