Funky straight eighths, solo 3

- Alright, let me play solo number three. (metronome) (drums, guitar, and bass) One, two, three, four. Okay, let's break this down. There's basically three concepts that are happening in this solo. The first one is bending a note against the fixed note. What does that mean? Well, the first lick is this (guitar). And here check out my whole hand, well actually my four fingers of my hand are all on the fret board. What I'm doing is I'm playing a fixed note, which is at the eleventh fret of the second string. (guitar) And on the third string, I'm bending a note from the tenth fret of the third string, up a whole step to the twelfth fret (guitar). Now, check this out. I'm bending with my third finger, but I'm supporting that bend by my first two fingers so the whole thing gives me more strength, my hand gives me more strength to bend. That way I can bend and tune (guitar). And you want to bend this one in tune. You don't want to be sort of halfway on this one. (guitar) Then I'm doing…
