Join Jared Meeker for an in-depth discussion in this video Full-size chords: E and C, part of Beginning Acoustic Guitar Music Lessons.
- All right, let's move onto two new full size chords.…This is E and C.…First of all, E looks like this. (strums chord)…And C looks like this. (strums chord)…For all of these, make sure that you're playing…on the very tips of your fingers,…and that you don't have dead notes.…What I mean by that is for C a lot of times beginners…are playing like C where it sounds like this.…
(strums chord with some muted strings)…Their fingers are kind of flat and they're muting out…the strings so make sure that each note rings out clear.…You might want to play each individually before you strum…them all together. (plays guitar)…All right, let's move onto Rock 'n' Roll Wonder Dog.…So here you're gonna practice the E, D and A chords,…and just transition between them.…I hope you enjoy it, here we go.…
One, two, three, four.…("Rock 'n' Roll Wonder Dog")…And now for another song, this is called…You Move My Boogie Machine, and it goes between G, C and D.…
Check it out.…One, two, three, four.…("You Move My Boogie Machine")…
