- All right, let's learn another chord called D7. So in this chord, you're gonna place your index finger on the first fret of the B string, the note C, middle finger on the second fret of the G string, note A, and your ring finger down here on the second fret of the E string, the note is F sharp, and it sounds like this. (playing chord) So let's just practice strumming this a little bit. Make sure not to strum the thickest two strings, only these bottom four. Here we go. One, two, ready, go. (strumming guitar) All right, let's move on to transitioning between the D7 chord and the A7 chord. And notice there's also a rest in this example too, so as you switch between them, stop the strings, and there is not a note in common between those, so you actually have to shift all of your fingers off and switch them to the new chord.
