- Okay, now let's check out another cord that just goes across five strings. This is the A7 chord. So similar to the E minor chord, you'll see first of all that we're using slash rhythms for this and it will just be shown as the title above the notation A7. First try to play that chord and get a good tone on it. (guitar chords) Okay, you have you second finger down on the second fret of the D string and your ring finger down on the second fret of the B string. And when you strum, do not strum the thickest E string. Only those five strings. So let's try this next example called strumming the A7 chord. (tapping) One, two, three, go. (slow guitar music) Okay, next we're gonna practice chord transitions between E minor and A7 chord. So here you can keep your middle finger down when moving between the chords. So on E minor.
