Here's example 11, I'm going to play it against the backing track, I'll play it through once. First four bars will be a turnaround, and I'll count in the example. Let's give it a go. (plays guitar over blues backing track) Two, three, four. (plays guitar) Alright, let's break this down. (plays chord) Basically you have two parts going on. We're emulating, say, a bass, guitar, and a drummer, if we were playing in a band. So the way we do that is we play the lower part, which is the bass notes. (plays bass notes) Then, we're going to play the snare drum part, or an upstroke using our, a pick. But now, you want the strings to just be muted, immediately, so (strums with muted strings) I don't want to hear 'em (strums with open strings) I want to hear (strums with muted strings) So there's a lot going on here.
