- [Instructor] Just a few thoughts here that I think are important enough to mention. Learning the process of licensing is really useful. Once you understand the fundamentals, it's a great jumping off point. But you should not stop there. The way to stay ahead of the game is to educate yourself as the industry evolves. Here are things that I do just to stay ahead and I recommend you do some of these as well to continue your licensing education process. Whether you prefer the feel of a magazine in your hand or cruising information on your tablet, I highly recommend you subscribe to the trade magazines such as Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and Ad Age. These magazines regularly print useful information such as what TV pilots get picked up, which movies are going into production, list of film trailer companies, pitching companies, music supervisors, and more.
