Continuing the exploration into emotional expression as a singer, Lari uses a classic children's story to help explore various emotions and how to convey them with words.
- This is one little exercise that's a lot of fun to do…to give you a chance to just play with…different emotional tats, different emotional tools,…and put them in the context of a script…or a lyric that is very repetitive.…So, the words themselves aren't changing very much,…all that's changing is your intention and the emotional tool…that you're going to use in that instance.…
So, this is one of my favorite books…and it's a great tool to use for this exercise…because the words are very repetitive.…Basically, Harry, I call him Harry,…I don't know what his name is, is talking to Sam-I-Am,…trying to get rid of him because Sam-I-Am keeps offering him…green eggs and ham, would you like green eggs and ham,…and Harry keeps having to say, basically,…no, I don't like them, so I'm not going to eat them,…would you please just go away and leave me alone?…But Sam doesn't take the hint and so Harry has to keep…repeating himself over and over.…
Well, obviously, if you just repeat yourself over and over,…saying the same thing in the same way,…
