Working with a drum technician
- Getting great drum sound starts with having a great sounding drum kit. I've been fortunate to work with some great drum techs over my years of recording, and we have Ross Garfield with us today, also known as the Drum Doctor, one of the go-to guys in the world for drum teching. Ross has over 400 drum kits that are all prepared for recording sessions. He's got over 500 snare drums, different brands, different years, different models. All the stuff that you want, and when I need great drums, I call Ross to come and bring 'em down, and today he's brought a beautiful combination of drums behind us. We're at EastWest Studios in Hollywood. Got a little bit of history here for you right? - All kinds of people recorded in this room.
