How to use interactivity to create engaging elearning

- One of the biggest differences between classroom-based learning and E-learning is how your learners interact with the learning content. And when you're creating an E-learning course, what you don't want to do is create a glorified PowerPoint presentation with a bunch of bullet points and a next button. What you want to do is create E-learning that challenges your learners to interact with your learning content in a meaningful way. So, here are three ways you can use interactivity to create engaging E-learning. First, use interactivity to challenge your learners to pull the information they need. It's easy to create an E-learning course where you simply dump all of the information your learners need to know. But that would be really boring and it certainly wouldn't be effective. Instead, find ways you can make your content interactive. Challenge your learners to pull the information they need by interacting with your E-learning course. Whether you're organizing multiple steps into a process where your learners click to reveal the details of each step, or you're creating a custom menu that puts your learners in control of navigating your E-learning course, either way it'll make your content more engaging and prevent your learners from falling asleep. Second, use interactivity to help your learners put their skills into practice. If you want to create E-learning that's engaging and helps your learners do their jobs better, then you want to create interactions that let your learners put their skills into practice. For example, you could create an interactive scenario or simulation where your learners are challenged to make a decision or complete a task based on some information they received earlier in the course. This will let them practice the skills they've been taught and hopefully prepare them to do a better job. And finally, use interactivity to test your learners' knowledge. There may be times when you want to quiz your learners and make sure they're getting the information they need. One way to do this is by using quiz questions or knowledge checks throughout your course. Even with simple multiple choice questions, it's an opportunity to create interactivity to make your E-learning course more engaging. So, the next time you're creating an E-learning course, think about all of the different ways you can use interactivity to make your content more effective and help keep your learners engaged.
