An overview of the Wacom product line
- Tablet choice is largely a matter of personal preference. What works for one person may be absolutely wrong for someone else. Artists with a background in traditional painting may favor an extra large tablet. Conversely, artists that have a history of sketching in, say, a journal may prefer a small tablet size. It's important to note that the models we're using in this course are the Intuos Pro, the MobileStudio Pro, and the Cintiq 22HD Touch. Waicom divides its professional products into three primary categories. Pen tablets, which include both the Intuos and Intuos Pro. These plug into your desk or laptop computer. Pen displays are represented by the Cintiq models, and enable direct drawing on the display. Pen computers are a new product category. This is represented by the MobileStudio Pro, an Intel based Windows 10 tablet with direct drawing on the display.
