From the course: 5-Day Drawing Challenge: Drawing Inspiration

About the course

- Here are the five basic rules of creative engagement that apply to each of the daily challenges. One, try to complete one challenge per day. You have a full day to complete the drawing challenge, so take your time and do the best job you can. That said, if you need more time, don't worry about it. It's more important that you finish the whole course and complete each daily challenge. Two, try not skip ahead. Make sure you get your drawing challenge done before you watch the "How did you do?" video. I want your approach to be your own, fresh take on the challenge. Don't just replicate whatever I show in the solution movies. Three, analog or digital drawing? Most of the challenges involve hands on, analog drawing, with pencil or pen and some use neither. If you feel a challenge can be done by digitally drawing using your Wacom, or equivalent, that's fine too. Digital drawing exercises the same creative muscles as analog but most of the challenges in this course will be done using old school methodology. Your drawing only needs to be simple black and white but color or shading is always welcome. Four, share your drawings with others. Don't be afraid to share what you create each day. Post it on your blog, or your social media account, if you do, please use the hashtag #5DayDraw. Five, have fun with it! Enjoy these drawing challenges, but remember they are challenges, so if you get intimidated, frustrated, embarrassed, or even draw something you don't like, that's normal. Just laugh it off, and don't quit. Six, try it again. If you complete this course, I encourage you to reapproach these challenges at a later date and try to come up with new ways to solve each daily challenge. Invite co-workers to do it with you and I think you'll be surprised at what you discover. All that said, creativity is all about breaking the established rules. I don't want you to think this challenge is so rigid that you can't apply your own creative license to solve each of the daily challenges. In fact, I hope you do just that. So, flex your imagination and let the next five days be a fun drawing adventure for you.
