- So far, we've seen how Bluebeam Revu can be used to manage electronic versions of our plans and other documents, and we've begun to explore how this can be applied in the field. I've also shown you in some previous videos several ways to perform counts and get measurements. So, now let's pull some of those features together and look at how this software can be used to handle some real estimating and quantity takeoff tasks. Now, before we start doing any length and area takeoffs, we need to set the proper scale. And Revu has a couple of tools for us that will help with that calibration and allow us to define different scales for different areas of the drawing. Now, the first thing I'm going to want to do is switch to the program's estimating profile. To do this, I'm going to go up and click on View at the top, choose the drop-down arrow next to profiles, and I have that named as Takeoff. And that's one of the built-in profiles.
