- Before you can use it,…the Apple Watch needs to be paired with an iPhone.…You'll need an iPhone 5 or later.…In this movie, we'll do the initial setup so you can see…what is required to pair the watch with an iPhone.…When you take the watch out of the box,…you can press either of the two buttons…on the side to turn it on.…And after a few minutes, you'll see a screen like this.…From here, I'm gonna need to choose my preferred language,…and I can do that with the touchscreen.…I can just tap on "English," and now it's ready to pair.…
Next, I'll need to open up the Apple Watch app on my iPhone.…This app will already be on your iPhone,…assuming you have updated to iOS 8.2 or later.…If you don't see the Apple Watch app,…run your software updates and check again.…So I'm going to launch the app,…and then I'm going to hit the button…that says "Start Pairing."…Now what's going to happen here…is it's going to open up the Camera on your iPhone.…And what you want to do is frame up the watch…within this little frame in the Camera.…
