Use the iPad as a sidecar to your Mac’s monitor

- [Announcer] One of the headliner features in MacOS Catalina is sidecar. It's getting a lot of attention for good reason because it allows you to use your current iPad as an alternative monitor. So you can either mirror things on it or you can use it as a separate display all together. It has two ways to connect, you can connect via wire or you can use airplay. I think airplay is probably the easiest way to go. And that's what I'm doing right here. You just go up to airplay and then you find you know the iPad. In this case it's Derek's iPad. Once you do that, you get a little sidecar icon up here which is nice and it gives you some additional controls. The main thing is how you going to mirror. If you're going to do that, you're going to have the sidecar display show on the Mac or the Mac display show on the iPad. In my case I have an iPad Mini.
