Photos has the ability to display EXIF and IPTC metadata associated with your pictures. That information is displayed in the Info box. In this video, Derrick shows you how the Info box works in Photos for macOS High Sierra.
- [Instructor] Let's go for a little change…of scenery and talk about metadata.…And that is the information that accompanies your photo,…so that is text data, time, things like that.…And speaking of change of scenery,…let's look at a different shot,…we'll look at this lovely sunset.…And the way that you get the metadata,…well there's two ways.…I'm going to show you the first way right now…while we're in this view,…is just to click on the eye button right there.…And that is our metadata display, the info display.…I'm going to click on it again to hide it…because what I'd like to do now is go to full screen mode.…
We've had this side bar all through our movie so far…and I want to look at something different,…something a little cleaner.…So I'm going to go up to View,…and I'm going to Enter Full Screen.…There we go, that's nice, now we can just enjoy our image,…and of course the metadata.…And the way I get to it now I'm just going to…do Command-I on the keyboard,…and there is our metadata display.…And I could move this around wherever I want.…
