How this course is designed: iPhone and Photos working together

- [Instructor] Bread and butter, peanut butter and chocolate, peas and carrots, these are things that go together. You know what else goes together? Photos and an iPhone, yes they do, they seriously do. Now, I didn't really fully comprehend this in the earliest days of Photos. I thought okay, Apple is coming out with a consumer replacement for a professional app, which was Aperture at the time. But I didn't really see up the road the way they did, I think the way they did, in that the advances on the iPhone can be fully realized in the Photos app for both iOS and for the Mac. And now we are really seeing how that all comes together. Now the way that I have designed this course is that I'm going to show you how to configure an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Now if you have an iPhone 11 or just a regular iPhone 12 or an iPhone X, you're still going to be fine, all right? You're still going to be fine. But the menus that I show you are going to be from an iPhone 12 Pro Max. We're going to see how to set up this phone so that it is configured, first of all for the way that you shoot and the kind of pictures that you want to capture, but then also so that you can maximize your results when you open up these images and these movies on either your iPhone in Photos, or on your Mac. And I recommend working with both, because the Mac brings one set of tools and a bigger screen, and then the iPhone or the iPad, they bring portability and convenience. And together, they work really well. So the vision of this course is I'm going to show you how to set things up on your iPhone in the earlier part of the course, movies, photos, things like that. And then I'm going to show you how to realize how cool these things can be in Photos both on the Mac and on iOS. And at the end of it, you will really have the complete view of how this ecosystem works. And it is beautiful, and it is powerful, and it is easy to use. I can't wait to show you all the good things I have in store for you.
