If you want to export your picture out of Photos, there's a pretty good tool for doing that. In this video, Derrick explains how to export pictures from Photos for macOS High Sierra.
- [Instructor] There are still times…when we want to export images out of the application…let's say onto our desktop…and have a bit more control over that whole process.…And the export command here in Photos…is actually pretty good.…Let's take a look at it right now.…In fact before we do that,…let me show you something.…Let's do command+i,…show you what we're working with here.…So we're working with a fairly large image.…6016 pixels on the longest side.…High resolution camera.…And I probably don't want to export it out that size.…
Let's say that I want to export it out for social media…or to send to someone else to put on social media.…Maybe Molly wants to put it on her Facebook page.…So that would be more like 2048,…which is a good size for Facebook and Twitter.…So just keep that in mind…when we go over to the export menu here.…So we're going to go to file.…And we're going to come down to export.…And we have two options.…So we could export an unmodified original.…And that just sends it out the way that it came in.…
