The settings in the Preferences pane have a big impact on your experience with Photos for macOS Sierra. In this video, Derrick walks you through the basic Preferences settings so you can customize your interaction with the application to suit your individual needs.

You just click on that and it'll come right up.…Isn't that nice, just like that.…Summarize photos?…I say yes because as you get a whole bunch…of photos in here,…it's a much more compact way to look at your images.…You can play with it;…you just turn it on and turn it off…and see what you think.…I say yes, I say leave it checked.…I'll leave it up to you.…Holiday events; totally up to you.…If you're a person that hates holidays…well maybe you want that unchecked,…
