If your camera’s timestamp is off, you can correct the date and time for your pictures in Photos. In this video, Derrick Story shows you how.
- [Narrator] Many disruptive things can happen to us…when we travel, and one of them is the meta data.…The timestamp,…in our photos is off.…For instance, in my case, I start my trips in California,…where I live, and if I fly to New York, for example,…and I don't change my timestamp then…all of my images will be three hours off.…And I hate that.…Fortunately,…Photos has a way to help us correct that, afterward.…And that's what I'm going to show you right now.…So, we'll work on these images from Iceland.…
I'll select the first one,…hold down the Shift key,…go to the last one.…We're going to change all of these at once.…Go up to Image.…Adjust Date and Time, right there.…Now there's two different ways I can do this.…One is, I can work with timezone right here.…So we started in California, let's say I want to change…it to New York,…or Eastern time.…I can just click on that time zone.…And it automatically handles that for me.…
Generally speaking, the way that I do it though…is I just come up here, and I adjust it by hand.…
