Searching with filters

Once you have images in your Lightroom catalog, you don't really search for them. Rather you filter the results. You simply choose the collection of images and then narrow it down by filtering based on criteria. Lightroom has several ways to do this, so let's explore how to use filters. In order to find images, you don't actually search, rather you filter. For example, within the Catalog, you could see all of your images or the images you previously imported. You may also find a folder within. In this case, you see that the folder structure was recreated by year. This migration strategy of year, month and date can really help keep images split out. And cut down on the chance of having duplicate file names. This is an east way of keeping the images very sorted. And we did this earlier when exporting from Appature.
