Realistic female mouth shapes

[Instructor] In another movie, I showed you how to create chewy dialog for a cartooney female character, but now we're gonna look at a more realistic, typical design. And I've removed the hair, 'Cause that's just distracting. So let's just focus on the core of the face, and the mouth, and the surrounding area. So these are the four core mouth shapes. The A shape, the B, the D, and the F. These labels are not phonetic, they simply assign to the shape. So the A mouth is closed, this mouth will be used for the B and the P and the M sounds, and so on. In the first pass, what we do is we create the A mouth, the closed mouth, and the D mouth, that's the wide open mouth. And that gives us this basic chewing, this up/down, doesn't feel chewing yet, but it's starting to feel like it might. And that's our maximum range of horizontal to vertical motion. The next mouth that you could animate would be either the B mouth, which is the one that makes the E sound, or the F mouth, the one that makes…
