Blocking out main poses
Let's put everything together by animating some pose to pose animation with dialog. Now because I'm animating the full body, you're going to see that the most. So I'm going to start with the poses and then go to the facial animation and dialog. So we're going to start with the poses. Now, before we do that, let's go ahead and listen to the dialog that we're going to animate to. >> This is way too much for me. This is way too much for me. >> Now when I first get a piece of dialog I'm going to listen to it a bunch of times, and try and get a sense for how I want the character to act. Now, I may stand up and actually act it out myself. I may do some sketching, just to get a sense for what poses I want to see. Or I may pose the character in software. Now, when I do this, I'm trying to find beats in my dialog. In other words, I'm trying to find words or phrases that are emphasized that I can attach a pose to. So in this particular line, we've got about three major beats. Let's listen to it…
