Animating blinks

We're going to dive a little bit more deeply into facial animation, and we're going to start with the eyes. The eyes really are the mirror of the soul, and they're very important, but so are blinks. Blinks really help keep the character alive. They draw attention to the eyes, and they also can indicate a shift in the character's attention from one place to another. So with all that in mind, let's go ahead and animate some blinks. Now the standard timing for a blink is usually about a quarter of a second. So, at 24 frames a second, you're going to be doing six frames down and six frame's up. So let's do a standard six frame blink. I'm actually going to start this on frame six, so we have a little bit of lead time before the blink, and all I'm going to do is I'm going to play with my lids of my character.
