To finish our simple tree model,…let's add some leaves.…You have different options for leaves in Plant Factory.…The ones on the tool bar here are flat planes.…And that's a good simple way of getting started.…To add leaves, you want to select a node…to which the leaves are going to be appended.…So go over to the Tertiary Branch here.…Because I only want leaves to appear…on those tertiary branches.…Select it, and then click on the Leaf icon…with the left mouse button.…
And you'll get a bunch of leaves applied onto the plant.…If you want to zoom out to see all of the leaves,…you can click on the Magnifier Glass button here,…and it'll zoom on the current selection.…And if nothing's selected, it'll zoom the entire plant.…So there are leaves, they're kinda big.…If we wanted to,…of couse we could play around with their parameters.…That Leaf node is currently selected,…and we could go into its Transforms,…and, for example, change its Global Scale to .5.…
And now they're a bit smaller.…What I really want to do in this case…

In these tutorials, Aaron F. Ross shows how to get started with PlantFactory. He'll cover modeling plants and trees, sculpting plants from components, editing plant parameters, adding materials and animation effects, and rendering the results. Plus, learn how to use PlantFactory's powerful node graph to control individual properties and generate plants procedurally.
