Using text within the item renderer
- [Narrator] We'll now build out a movie clip symbol and embed the render skin within it. Along with a text object to render any item title data. Later on, we'll generate instances of this object dynamically after the data has been loaded. Let's go over to the library and pull out an instance of item skin. And we can immediately choose Modify, Convert To Symbol, and we'll choose a movie clip symbol, naming this ItemRenderer. And now that's created, we can delete it from the stage. And we can see that we have both the skin, which is a button, and the renderer, which is a movie clip symbol. So let's double click on ItemRenderer to further edit it. I'll rename layer one to Skin. And lock it down. I'll create a new layer and use that for my title. So now I need to go ahead and add some text to this. So I'll choose the Text Tool. And in my properties, we can see that this is dynamic text, which it's inherited some of this stuff from the previous project. But we definitely want dynamic…
