- [Voiceover] It's important to know how to add masks, and it's kind of easy to do them in this program, but there are a couple of limitations to watch out for. I'm just tunneling into the alien symbol, or you can just double-click on the alien in the library. Nice and clean that way. Okay, so what happens if you move the pupil outside of the eye. Disaster, of course. So let's make a mask for that. Pretty straight forward. So I'm going to make a new layer. This yellow area, I want to double up as a mask, so let's just padlock that, click on that yellow area, go Control-C, in the new layer, Control-Shift-V, and that pastes that in place. So I'm going to right-click on this new layer, layer five, and call it a mask. It automatically masks the layer beneath it. I'm going to have to switch that to outline, so I can do this, but I'm going to move that eye out to here, and then switch the padlock back on. And now we have this.
