- Before we start the course, there are a couple of things you need to know, including having a knowledge of HTML and HTML5 elements like article, a basic understanding of PHP, specifically as used with WordPress, and an understanding of JavaScript syntax and JavaScript, and an understanding of JSON and how to use it in a template.
