Wrap an alert dialog in a fragment: Building Flexible Android Apps with the Fragments API

As in most visual programming environments, Android supports the use of dialog windows. In earlier versions of the SDK, you’d use a class named Dialog; starting with Android 3, Honeycomb, a new class was introduced named DialogFragment. Its use is similar in many ways to fragments you include in activities, but it’s designed to stand on its own. But like conventional fragments, the DialogFragment elegantly survives switches in orientation and other configuration changes.
